Summary Case Report: 42-year-old owner of an auto mechanic shop, along with one of his employees, was found crushed to death under a tow truck that they were repairing. The men used the hydraulic lift to raise the rear end of the tow truck, then put a jack stand under to support it. They then took off the rear wheels which defeated the parking brake, making the truck very unsteady. It simply fell off the jack stand while the men were working underneath. The "stinger" of the tow truck was in a slightly inclined position, which made the jack stand easily slip out of position. Full Report with Photos
